But we don’t stop there—we are also seeking learning opportunities, challenges, and certifications to make our team even better. Recently, four of our chefs brought home another achievement. Chefs Michael Smith, David Russell, Richard Reilly, and Scott Gilbert completed the grueling process of becoming a Worldchefs Certified Executive Chef (WCEC). Way to go, guys!
Worldchefs, a 91-year old group founded by the esteemed Auguste Escoffier, is the leading authority in global cuisine and remains dedicated to defining and promoting standards within professional cooking and hospitality around the world. Even more, the Worldchefs Global Certification is the first and only global certification for the culinary industry. Created in partnership with City & Guilds, a world leader in skills development and quality assurance for global chefs, Worldchefs Certified Executive Chef Accreditation is quite the honor.
For us, raising our culinary standards never stops. And being certified to influence culinary standards internationally is a privilege. Plus, in addition to all we’ve learned, our team is now connected to a dynamic global network of 110 chef associations worldwide. That’s the benefit of this organization—a mobilized group of culinary professionals, a commitment to advance the profession, and a desire to leverage the influence of the chef jacket for the betterment of the craft and humanity at large. We like the sound of that.
