Moroccan Black Bean burger with Harissa Mayo

A twist on the classic burger that will bring your taste buds to life, featuring Custom Culinary® Gold Label Harissa, The Moroccan Black Bean Burger is made of harissa mayo, spicy black bean burger, lettuce, roasted tomato, caramelized onions on a toasted focaccia bun.

Yield: 1 burger

Amount Ingredients
  Harissa Mayo
3/4 oz. Mayonnaise (traditional or plant-based)
1/2 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Harissa
  Moroccan Black Bean Burger
4 oz. Spicy Black Bean Vegan Burger
1/4 oz. Leaf Lettuce
1 oz. Oven Roasted Tomato, Sliced Thick, Prepared, Warm
1 oz. Caramelized Onions, Prepared, Warm
1 ea. Herb Focaccia Bun
PREPARATION

  1. Prepare the black bean burger per package instructions
  2. While the burger is cooking, butter the inside of the bun halves and place on the hot griddle until lightly toasted, then remove and reserve.
  3. Combine the mayo and Harissa in a small bowl. 
  4. To Assemble the Burger: Place the lettuce on the bottom bun, top with the hot black bean burger. Add roasted tomato slice and caramelized onions. Spread the Harissa Mayonnaise on inside of the top bun and place on top of the burger.
