Harissa Burnt End Tacos

Bold and smoky burnt ends meet the fiery warmth of harissa in this flavor-packed taco. Served on a soft flour tortilla, topped with cool harissa labneh, crisp cucumber, and fresh herbs for a balanced bite with a kick.

1 lb. True Foundations® Harissa
1 lb. Labneh (or Greek Yogurt)
3.5 lbs. Burnt Ends
1 lb. True Foundations® Harissa
16 ea. 5" or 6" Flour Tortillas
1 ea. Cucumber, Hot House, small diced
1/4 c. Parsely, Italian flat leaf, fresh, chopped
1/4 c. Mint, fresh, chopped
PREPARATION

  1. Mix Harissa and labneh together until well incorporated.
  2. Set aside or prepare ahead and store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  3. In a preheated oven, heat the burnt ends until they reach an internal temperature of 160 F., adding the harissa halfway through.
  4. While the brisket is warming, heat the tortillas. Then cut each in half.
  5. To assemble, place a warm tortilla on the plate, top with 1 oz. of saucy brisket.
  6. Top with 1 oz. harissa labneh.
  7. Garnish with diced cucumber and fresh herbs. Secure with a toothpick.
