Birria Brisket Lettuce Wraps
Tender, smoky birria-style brisket layered in crisp green leaf lettuce cups and topped with red onion, bell peppers, and fresh cilantro. Served with a rich birria broth for dipping.
A unique recipe that is both flavorful and easy to prepare uses our Beef Birria broth to enhance the cool lettuce, adding richness to the flavor of smoked beef brisket.

Brisket, whole, smoked, sliced, 1/2"

Lettuce, green leaf, 2"x2" cups
4 oz.
Onion, red, julienned, 1/4"
4 oz.
Pepper, bell, yellow. Julienned, 1/4"
2 oz.
Pepper, jalapeno, sliced, 1/4" (optional)
1/2 c,
Cilantro, leaves (garnish)

True Foundations® Birria Broth (hot)
PREPARATION
In a medium sauté pan over medium-low flame, heat the brisket until it is 160° F.
Meat can also be warmed in the oven as well.
While the meat is heating place a lettuce leaf on the plate.
Once the meat is warm, place 1/2 oz. of meat onto each lettuce leaf, topping with onion, peppers, jalapenos, and cilantro.
Ladle an ounce of hot birria broth and place on the side of the lettuce wrap.
CHEF'S TIP
If you don't want a spicy bit, feel free to remove the jalapenos.
If you are looking for a non-smoked option feel free to substitute with Smithfield Ready-To-Use Pot Roast.
